Michael joined Hutchison Engineering in 1979 as a Project Engineer in the Transportation Department. Previous to this he was employed for three years with Stanley Consultants as a design engineer. During his career with Hutchison Engineering his responsibilities increased over time serving as a Project Engineer, a Project Manager, and as the Manager of Transportation Services.

Michael has experience in the planning and design of transportation facilities including complex urban road projects, rural interstate projects, typical urban and rural roadway projects, recreational facilities design and site development. He has been responsible for the development and completion of numerous transportation projects for the firm as well as supervising and coordinating the work of engineers and technical staff.

Currently as Chief Operating Officer Michael directs and coordinates the operations of the Jacksonville Office and as Executive Vice President he works directly with the President of the company concerning various aspects of the company’s operations. Michael is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
